Bringing a baby home can be both an exciting and apprehensive time. With our team of nurses who are specially trained in new-born development, you will pick up new skills and your baby will be pampered with our teams’ quality care.
The first few weeks of your baby’s life are very precious, and you should be able to enjoy every moment of your motherhood. Our dedicated and passionate team of neo-natal nurses will provide you with the support you need to navigate this delicate time. We will serve as reliable resources and will ease your worries.
All our new-born care providers are registered nurses. They each hold a Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing or Midwifery with years of experience in paediatrics and NICU departments. They all hold a valid basic life support and first aid certification.
We can guide you through sterilising and preparing bottles, breastfeeding, changing diapers, skin care, eye care, bathing and clothing, soothing and swaddling techniques, preventing or easing colic and umbilical cord and circumcision site care. We follow your baby’s progress every step of the way with an in-depth new-born report to help you establish your routine. Night nurses will help both parents rest properly during the critical recovery and transition period when bringing home, a new bundle of joy.
Breastfeeding is a fantastic bonding experience for you and your baby. Done properly, you will enjoy the warmth and tenderness of these peaceful moments. Where needed our nurse will gently guide you into comfortable breastfeeding positions for a pleasant experience for both mummy and baby.
It all starts with a feeding consultation. These are done in the comfort and privacy of your home and scheduled at your convenience. We’ll carry out a physical exam of the mother’s breasts and baby’s mouth structure, as well as weighing the baby throughout to make sure your baby is growing strong and healthy. Your nurse will examine how you breastfeed and assess milk transfer.
We’re here to help you overcome any challenges you face along the way. Be it lack of routine, sore nipples, milk supply issues, breast refusal, infections and tongue tie, we can rely on us for all the support you need.
If you face these issues or just want to chat, we’re available over the phone and through email to put your mind at rest, should you need us.
Sleep training helps mummy and baby settle into life at home together. It is about finding a balance that works for both your physical and emotional wellbeing. Our nurses can help you get the rest you need when you are feeling overwhelmed. Available both day and night to support you through every challenge and success, our nurses will make sure you get the rest that you need to be the best parent you can be and for your child to grow up happy and healthy.
Emirates Home Nursing offers sleep consultations based on an initial assessment. The first step involves getting to know you to understand your current sleep routines and set goals. Together with your nurse, you will develop a concrete plan to establish the perfect routine for your family, built around your needs and parenting style.
